Why was this not around when my husband and I were long-distance dating!? First, make sure you have 2 AAA batteries in it. From there, click the power button to turn it on. It’ll immediately start vibrating. To cycle through the vibration patterns, touch the slider (on the NT logo) and hold until you find one you like. If you want the Better Than Chocolate to vibe to your music, turn it on, make sure your transmitter is plugged into an audio device (and also turned on and at an increased volume), and then cycle through the patterns.
